410-774-5789 We run a professional wildlife removal business operating in Odenton, Maryland. We service the whole Annapolis metropolitan area, and do much of our work in Odenton. We are a full-service
Odenton animal trapping and removal company. We specialize in wildlife only, and are not like a regular Odenton pest control company or Odenton exterminator. We use humane methods to
solve wild animal problems in Maryland. We solve the root of the problem, by performing home repairs to keep animals out, and preventative measures in addition to critter trapping
and removal. We offer a variety of services, from animal damage repair to waste cleanup, dead animal removal and odor control, and more. We handle several nuisance wildlife
species, including squirrels, raccoons, snakes, skunks, and opossums. We also perform bat removal and bird control services, and rodent control, including poison-free mouse and
rat removal. Give us a call any time at 410-774-5789 to discuss your Odenton animal control issue, and to schedule a fast appointment.
Odenton wildlife control tip of the month:
What do wildlife rehabilitators do with raccoons?
If you have found a baby raccoon, it is just best to leave it there, but if in case the Odenton animal control mother will not come back
again, the mother is the best in raising their pups, but what if she is not around? If you want to help the pups,
the humane manner, let it live by raising it or by taking it to a Odenton pest control wildlife rehab. They will be the one to take care
of them the humane way and then release them to the wild when they are ready. Wildlife rehab is the job of a licensed
rehabber in your area.
First thing, make sure that the raccoon is orphan, it is not common for the young pups to wander around the area while the
mom is away looking for food, she is the one equipped in finding her pups and to care for them. You can take the pup if the
mother doesn’t come back after sometime.
In most of the states, it is just fine to get them and bring them to a rehabber, but it is illegal to keep them at home. You
may not be sick of catching the pups, but they might be sick that is why the mother abandoned them. Upon taking the pups to the
rehabber, the rehabbers will take care of them.
• They will keep the pups warm. It is very important, since they have few hairs and they cannot regulate their body temperature.
They must be warmed right away to keep them from dying.
• They will keep the pups well hydrated. You must not try to feed them unless they are hydrated accordingly. Feeding can kill
them. You must not try to rehydrate them until you know that they are warm. The Odenton wildlife removal rehabbers know about these facts, so they know
what to do. Only then they will be given fluids using a feeding bottle. Pedialyte is often used mixed with distilled water and
sugar 3-4 times daily.
• They will feed them. Cow’s milk must not be given to them as a replacement for milk formula. Powdered milk instead can be a
replacement if diluted in water. They may be constipated and their tummy must be rubbed to boost bowel movements. The Odenton animal trapping rehabbers
also know that they must burp every after milk feeding.
• After 8 weeks of milk feeding, they can now eat solid foods. If you are not knowledgeable in these Odenton exterminator matters, you must leave them
in the hands of the rehabbers or else they will die.
